Family Ministries

Waumba is the Swahilian word for “creator” and Waumba Land is where our preschoolers are cared for in small groups. Waumba is offered each week at 9:30am and 11:00am. It is a clean, safe and carefully staffed environment where your children will be well cared for while you enjoy the worship service. Waumba Land opens for check in at 9:15am for the first service, and 10:45am for the second.

We want preschoolers to know that…

God Made Me
God Loves Me
Jesus Wants To Be My Friend Forever

UpStreet is a Sunday morning environment for elementary-aged kids (K – 5th grade) that meets every week at 11:00am. It includes an engaging large group gathering for worship and teaching from the Bible, followed by a more personal small group time with caring leaders and children their same age. The small group time allows children to build quality friendships.

We want UpStreet to be the best hour of your child’s week. We work hard to help each child understand and embrace the following big ideas:

I need to make the WISE choice.
I can TRUST GOD no matter what.
I should treat OTHERS the way I want to be treated.

Upcoming event: KidVenture on January 28. Click HERE for the permission form.

The Middle & High School ministry meets every Sunday morning at 9:00am at an offsite location and is an exciting and challenging place for students to come and learn about their relationship with God and with each other. A permission form is required for all students, which you can fill out HERE.

Each week begins with a hang out time with food and music, followed by large group with high energy band driven worship and a teaching time from the bible. After large group, students split up into gender and grade specific small groups.

We have developed a strategy to lead middle & high school students into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ by creating environments where they:

WONDER : I am created to pursue an authentic relationship with my Creator.
DISCOVERY : I belong to Jesus Christ and define who I am by what He says.
PASSION : I exist every day to demonstrate God’s love to a broken world.

Whether married or single, our desire at Ridge Church is to help you experience a relational progression from guest to friend to family. This progression is based on steps that you are invited to take at your own pace. Our Sunday worship gathering is designed to help you feel like a welcome guest. We want this to be a place where you are excited about inviting friends who don’t attend church on a consistent basis. From there we want to help you make friends on a strategic service team.

We have several teams and various opportunities for you regardless of your unique gifts and passions. Finally, we hope you will join us in a community group where you begin to feel like family. The way you try out a community group is by attending GroupLink. Ultimately when you have experienced these environments we hope you will join us in carrying out our mission. This is how we define full participation in the mission – invite, serve, give, & connect.
