Chris Brown is the Lead Pastor. Chris and Angie met in college at Liberty University and were married in 1998. All four of their children were born in Charlotte. Chris holds a Masters Degree in Theology from Columbia International University. Following an undeniable passion for unchurched people of Charlotte, the Brown family along with a dozen adults started the amazing journey that is now Ridge Church!
Christopher Kincaid brings over two decades of musical experience to his position as worship director at Ridge Church. Over the years, he’s played in several bands and run a recording studio as producer and engineer. To this day, he continues to write and record his own music. Christopher’s heart for worship and desire to usher people into the presence of God are the building blocks of his passion for his work at Ridge. Christopher currently lives in Fort Mill with his wife Rachael and their five children.
Danielle is the Upstreet Director, leading the environment for elementary age children. Danielle is a graduate of UNC Charlotte with a BA in Dance. She has been married to Brett for 12 years and they have 4 children. Both Brett and Danielle have spent their lifetimes exploring their art forms, Music and Dance, and are honored to use that experience at Ridge Church to create a place where people can come to worship and grow in a relationship with Jesus.
Melissa is the Office Manager for Ridge Church and Ministry assistant to the lead Pastor. Her responsibilities include organization, finances, graphics, and whatever else needs to be done. Melissa graduated from Appalachian State University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science in Geography and a Minor in Art. Prior to Ridge, she worked on youth ministry staff of First Presbyterian Church of Orlando, and support staff at First Baptist Church of Indian Trail. She recently married her amazing husband, David Fossler!
Patrick is the Family Ministries Director. Patrick was married to the love of his life, Crystal, on an insanely hot day in 2005. He studied Religion at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Patrick loves his wife, learning, kids, reading tons of books, making people laugh, the New York Yankees, Newcastle United, Carolina Tarheels, and skydiving (although he has never been).
Spanky Rouse is the Ministry Director at Ridge Church and directs our church, local, and foreign serving efforts called “Here, There, and Everywhere”. He has served in missions for the past 5 years with his family and most recently as a church planting missionary for e3 Partners Ministry. His passions are to share the love of Jesus, make disciples, and serve other in this journey. He and Lara were married in 2002 and they have 3 children.
Whitney is the Waumba Land Director, leading the environment for preschool aged children. Whitney went to college at Cortland College in Cortland, NY. She majored in Early Childhood Education. She spent 4 years teaching Kindergarten and First Grade in Charlotte, North Carolina. She and Kevin were married in 1997 and have three sons.
Marla Baswell is the Director of Guest Services and the Family Ministries Assistant. Marla is from Tennessee and was raised in Raleigh, NC. She met her amazing husband at church in 2000. She and Shawn were married in 2003 in one of the most beautiful places on earth, Boone, NC. Both she and Shawn are graduates of Appalachian State University. They have a passion for the unchurched and have been a part of Ridge Church since the beginning.
As Media Director, Chris is responsible for the coordination of all production and media implemented at Ridge. He currently holds a B.A. in Broadcast Media from North Greenville University. It was there that he met his fiancé and best friend Courtney. The two plan to marry this coming October.
